Small Business Networks

Most of our clients are small professional companies with 2-25 employees.  Most are not large enough to have a controller, Chief Financial Officer or Chief Information Officer. 

Some of our clients have presidents who swab the bathrooms on Friday afternoon before closing the doors for the weekend.

Our goal for these companies is very simple

  • to make it as easy as possible to know as much as possible about their business
  • to make information available from wherever the information might be needed.

We recommend that all our clients have

  • a local area network (LAN) connecting their desktop computers, printers and other peripheral devices
  • a broadband connection to the Internet
  • software that allows users to connect to facility computers from any Internet capable computer
  • An Adobe Acrobat® based solution that transforms incoming paper based documents into machine readable files that can be accessed from any computer with Internet access.

We often also suggest that larger clients and clients with special processing needs install a server to better manage company information and electronic mail.
